13 ) And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand,) and were choked in the sea.
14 ) And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 ) And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 ) And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.

13 ) അവൻ അനുവാദം കൊടുത്തു, അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടു പന്നികളിൽ കടന്നിട്ടു കൂട്ടം കടുന്തൂക്കത്തൂടെ കടലിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞു വീർപ്പുമുട്ടി ചത്തു. അവ ഏകദേശം രണ്ടായിരം ആയിരുന്നു.
14 ) പന്നികളെ മേയക്കുന്നവർ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു പട്ടണത്തിലും നാട്ടിലും അറിയിച്ചു, സംഭവിച്ചതു കാണ്മാൻ പലരും പുറപ്പെട്ടു,
15 ) യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, ലെഗ്യോൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തൻ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചും സുബോധം പൂണ്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
16 ) കണ്ടവർ ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തന്നു സംഭവിച്ചതും പന്നികളുടെ കാര്യവും അവരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.
